Grantee Professor Onur Güntürkün

Onur Güntürkün studied psychology in Bochum from 1975 to 1980 and received his doctorate in 1984. He then worked as a postdoc at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris) and the University of California at San Diego (USA). From 1988 to 1993, Onur Güntürkün was a research assistant at the University of Konstanz, where he completed his habilitation in psychology in 1991. In 1993, he accepted a professorship in biopsychology at the Faculty of Psychology at Ruhr University Bochum.

In his ERC grant, he is investigating the cognition of birds. The project starts in 2022.
