Ruhr University Bochum is aware that making research data available and accessible is essential for transparency, scientific progress, and the distribution of research findings. To this end, Ruhr University also cooperates with partners from the University Alliance Ruhr.
Sustainable and coordinated research data management (RDM) is therefore an integral part of good scientific practice.
Research Data Services (RDS) supports researchers at RUB with advice, training and technical infrastructure along the entire data lifecycle. The RDS team is made up of employees from the University Library and IT.SERVICES. It combines professional and technical expertise to provide researchers with holistic support for RDM, for example
Ruhr University Bochum also cooperates closely with TU Dortmund University in the field of research data management. Their respective repositories, ReSeeD and TUDOdata, are open to members of both partner institutions. Through the University Alliance Ruhr, the universities are also part of the cooperation network for the web-based software Research Data Management Organiser (RDMO), which supports researchers in planning, implementing, and organizing their data management.
