In the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr), Ruhr University Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen combine their expertise and resources to further expand their performance and ability to compete – and to advance research on pressing issues of the future.
The Ruhr region has developed into one of the densest science regions in Europe. Right in the middle of it since 2007: The University Alliance Ruhr – the association of the universities of Bochum, Dortmund and Duisburg-Essen – which stands for technical and social change through cutting-edge research. Since 2021, the three universities unite their research strengths in four Research Centers and one College. Scientists from all over the world find attractive conditions here for a career in pioneering research fields. Students in the University Alliance Ruhr benefit from a shared educational space.
