ERC Starting Grant 2020
Professor Lars Borchardt, Head of the Mechanochemistry research group, was awarded an ERC Starting Grant.
Lars Borchardt studied chemistry at Technische Universität (TU) Dresden, where he obtained his PhD degree in 2013. He then did postdoctoral research at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and, from 2015, headed a junior research group of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research at TU Dresden. He has been employed at Ruhr University Bochum since 2019.
As ERC grant holder, he is developing catalytic processes that work without solvents. The project starts in 2020.
